The Potomac water temp is around 36Β°F posing extreme hypothermia risk for AA flight 5342 survivors. Hypothermia can set in at those temperatures in just 30 minutes.
Weather was not a factor, with clear skies and calm winds.

A1: This earthquake moved the ground sideways. Underwater quakes where the ground moves up are the ones that usually generate tsunamis. This video explains.
