Then you pop shops and spend £20 on about four things, all which taste like shit and will be out of date tomorrow. You pay a king's ransom for your bills, everything is broken and rotting everywhere. Everyone is angry and suspicious of each other. It's tiring. Just wanna live a simple life ya know.

...and when you then click that hardly anything will happen. They'll all likely avoid jail time. The leader of the free world will carry on leading the free world. It'll all get brushed over. It makes you think what is the fucking point? We are paying taxes to literal paedophiles. Beyond depressing.

Been feeling particularly irritated over the past week or so, and I've just realised it's the Epstein stuff. Remember when the idea that a bunch of child abusing elites were secretly running the world was conspiracy theory fodder for the nutter at the pub? Oh it was all actually true.

Increased levels of social anxiety and stunted development that will likely affect their relationships for the rest of their lives. It's as lazy as feeding them nothing but doughnuts for all their life. It's intentionally damaging

All these tiny kids sat numbly staring into phones or tablets for hours on end while out in public, totally disconnected from society. Child abuse IMO.

"didn't do me any harm" they say... but I can absolutely guarantee one of the following - divorced/history of poor relationships/anger management issues/struggles around employment/drinks too much/barely ever speak to their kids. Delete as applicable. Absolutely mental that anyone can justify it.

My little lad has started preschool (he's been at home with my for just under three years)...the realisation that from this moment onwards I'll spend less time with him every week on average has absolutely destroyed me. Why does parenting have to be so brutal man 😭

I don't know why they spread the net so far tbh. The beauty of the avengers was them all coming together. We should have seen the new guys meeting Spiderman and co years ago. That's the fun of it. Wild that they just went down some multiverse rabbit hole instead.

I really enjoyed Fantastic Four! Such a wonderfully breezy & fun film. Was it perfect? Of course not, but it felt so refreshing given where the MCU has headed...and that soundtrack. Oh man. Bombast at its best with such an all timer of a hook. Gets my blood flowing. Just screams wonder & adventure.

Thanks mate. I only worry about it in the sense that I worry about the world my sons are going to grow up in. I don't want that spark knocked out of him by a disengaged and dulled world incapable of human interaction. It's disappearing.

You can tell that they just have no reference point in how to be friendly or talk to people they don't know. I hear him talking to them so politely & it makes my heart swell with pride but he gets nowt back & it destroys me. I worry about him struggling to connect and having his confidence knocked

Strong agree. I see it everywhere. My son is an incredibly sociable already and he's only 2.5 years old. He approaches other children in the park or whatever to try and talk and play with them and they just stare at him blankly (even the older ones) and ignore him. I find it heartbreaking.

Yep. Hate saying this as a City fan...but this is what big successful clubs do. Great sides have numerous great goalscorers. Also, they have to replace Jota sadly. Nunez and Diaz leaving too. Isak and Ekitike doesn't actually seem excessive to me in terms of squad planning tbh.

Sorry. In a bad mood today. Just sick of witnessing all this stuff on a daily basis. Parenting is a sacrifice. It isn't meant to be easy. So what if your kid kicks off? Deal with it. Teach them how to be bored and teach them how to be an active part of society. They learn nothing from disengagement

The beauty of becoming a parent is that you realise how wonderfully simple life actually is...but the other side is that your eyes are opened to how much we are fucking up our kids so willingly with laziness while society laps it up, even encourages it. Stop ignoring your kids man. Just talk to them

Earphones in ignoring their kids when on a pram walk, tablet out when they're in a car or out eating, glued to screens when at home, phones immediately in their hands when they know how to use them. Is it any wonder kids are growing nervous of social interactions? So frustrating to witness.

Enjoyed that mate and tbh it feels like I'm already doing this instinctively anyway thankfully. Gently showing him fun things, tempting his curiosity, but keeping it gentle. I think a feeling of ownership is really important. If he feels like it's partly his call then he'll be happier/more invested.

Surprised myself by not really pushing my son towards football yet. He's 3 in a few months and I've not sat & watched a game with him yet. He knows what football is if he sees me watching it but his interest in kicking a ball lasts a few seconds. I guess it comes naturally? Dunno.

slight issue for me is my job is based aorund social media. i try my best to be as present as possible though!

Obviously it's a long way away for us, given our oldest isn't even three yet, but how have you guys found dealing with the smart phone issue with your kids? Genuinely hoping there are decent societal reforms by the time they're grown up. Don't want our sons anywhere near phones until near adulthood.

DK Bananza has got me gagging for a new Banjo-Kazooie. Obviously the mechanics are v different, but there's just sumat about the mood and level design that feels so so similar. Nowt has reminded me of it more than this. It's what Banjo-Tooie should have been when it tried for the bigger level thing.

Can anyone see any way out of the mess this country is in politically any time soon? The country is very obviously reaching a boiling point and there are incredibly vocal and angry voices on both sides of the political spectrum. It's going to explode and it's going to be very ugly.
