The quilt went together beautifully. I think it is very pretty.

The size is stupidly impractical. 81.5x81.5 in. Too small for a double size mattress. If I make it larger, I have to send it out to be long-armed.

It’s based off of Missouri Star Quilt Company’s pattern “Confetti”. I’ve made it larger to fit the recipient.

This week’s update on a thousand+ of tiny triangles quilt. Still have another third to sew together before I do the final arrangement. I know already that the green to white transition is to harsh. #quiltsky #quilting #modernquilting

My guess is the background strip is added to the one side of the triangle before they are added to the 4 patch. It might have been put together by FPP but Y seams are more likely.

If I knew then, what I know now; I would have made the triangles bigger. This is approx 1/3 of the pieces. Using the MSQC pattern “Confetti” as the base. #quilting #modernquilting #quiltsky

I first saw Notre Dame 30 years ago and I had a bunch of art history knowledge fresh in my head. I knew what paintings to look for and felt the historical gravitas. Today, it felt bland and too clean. I miss the sooty ceilings of centuries of candles.
