How crucial was that Idah winner against Young Boys?

Many predicted 10 or 11 points would guarantee progress to the playoffs this year before the tournament kicked off.

Drawing that match 0-0 against Young Boys would have seen us knocked out this year with 10 points.

Jota is signed and training already, Tierney’s loan move is reportedly being negotiated, and talks with Brondby over Mathias Kvistgaarden are reportedly ongoing.

We'll hopefully see a strengthened squad for the knockout round against either Bayern or Madrid.

With Idah the 1st, and only realistic choice striker at the moment, his two goals last night against top opposition in Aston Villa add to his confidence after being key in the late winner against Young Boys last week.

Not the result many expected. We competed well, showed great resilience to fight back from a poor start, and Idah took his chances well to make it 2-2.

Second half was tougher, but we were still in it until the end.

He's moved 6k miles from home as well to join us. Been a massive success and he maybe fancies one more challenge in Europe before going back to Japan.

Overall we've been competitive in most games, which is pleasing to see for a change! Media had us down as whipping boys again before a ball was kicked.
