Great to see the Conservatives wanting to reform student loans. Would like to see an account for Osborne replacing maintenance grants with loans in 2015. This has left poorer students with bigger debts vs richer ones for a whole decade, compounding inequality between rich and poor. It’s scandalous.

No one anticipated an easy reign for Charles III but this... Few would have thought the king’s brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, would ever be treated like a commoner suspected of a similar offence

'How were royal wagons circled during earlier chapters in this grim saga? Who knew what, when?'

Start the Week at 9 on BBC Radio 4. Three absolute crackers: Daisy Fancourt’s Art Cure, Tom Service’s A History of the World in 50 Pieces, and Chekhov’s youthful comedy, with Rosamund Bartlett.

A wintry view of a mountainous landscape. It is raining with snow visible on the rocky tops. At the bottom of the slopes are green fields. A sheep is seen in the foreground. A farm building and sheds can be seen beyond a stone boundary wall.

It is illustrated by his boxing pose photo, a pic of actors Malachi Kirby and Stephen Graham as Hez and Sugar Goodson, and a newspaper advert for Hezekiah at the Sebright Music Hall in the late 1880s.
