There is no need to look across the Atlantic for trade when we have the largest free market on our doorstep - Europe. The Chancellor is right, economic gravity is reality, and repairing our trade ties with Europe should be a priority: we can start by rejoining the single market and customs union.

Richie Benaud leaves the field at the end of his final Test v South Africa at the SCG on February 12th 1964. It was a low-key farewell, but a week earlier in his final Sheffield Shield match he scored 76 and 120* and took five wickets as NSW won a thriller against SA by 6 runs

Should hsve batted first. Played Ahmed and Wood, instead of Archer and Overton. Pace of the ball. Too many runs off those two!

The stark contrast is set to raise a simple but incendiary question: who is truly paying for Britain?
Racist POS Ratcliffe, or people coming here from all over the world helping to build Britain? #UKNews

Chancellor says β€œthe biggest prize” is a trade deal with the EU Rachel Reeves is correct to argue a trade deal with the EU is "the biggest prize", as campaigners welcome the Chancellor

🚨 Brufatto, Director of Policy at Best for Britain:

β€œThis is the most significant intervention from the UK government on the prospect of aligning our service sectors with the EU, going beyond just goods. The Chancellor is right to say that β€œthe biggest prize” is a comprehensive deal with the EU."

Mainly because we're WFH and can't access our archives, we're using National Handwriting Day to resurrect this pic of our 1968 visitors book, featuring the handwriting of:

457 British troops lost their lives in Afghanistan.

Trump avoided military service 5 times.

How dare he question their sacrifice. Farage and all the others still fawning over Trump should be ashamed.
