We were thrilled that Shannon Eagen (’24) could join us for the presentation. She clerked in the U.S. District Court in the Central District of California and now is a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson.

UC Irvine Law is ranked No. 18 in the country for federal clerkships, and our Faculty Clerkship Committee, including former clerks Profs. Rachel Croskery-Roberts, Dalié Jiménez, Christopher Leslie, Ann Southworth, and CDO's John Arden, hosted an information session for our students.

From innovative courses like this to experiential clinics and interdisciplinary collaborations, UC Irvine Law prepares lawyers who are not only skilled advocates, but also thoughtful leaders.

Prof. Richardson is also currently developing a book on “contemplative jurisprudence,” which will explore how contemplative practices can expand traditional understandings of law and justice.

Students practice mindfulness, collaborate on projects, and explore how self-reflection intersects with legal fields such as negotiation, restorative justice, and professional responsibility.
