I can not agree more, I have read some amazing hard science fiction that’s was powerful because of the differences in perspective and social power.

I like the concept of the doppelganger being the setting or environment in stories. I really enjoyed a panel at Boskone with @theodoragoss.bsky.social, @justinkey.bsky.social, and @matociquala.bsky.social on doppelgangers and got to have a good think.
