The daily record today is 1.42”, 2010. That record has already fallen or its breaking is immanent. Rain will persist though Wednesday though it will be less intense than yesterday and last night.

Yesterday Portland recorded 1.42” narrowly avoiding breaking the daily record (1.66”, 2015). Heavy rain around midnight would have pushed over the record amount if it just came in a few minutes earlier.

So far I’ve used small local shops for 100% of my Christmas shopping this year. The closest thing to a big box I’ve used is Bookshop Dot Org.

All the markets are happening today. So Laura is manning the post and I’m bouncing around the area doing Christmas shopping. I made purchases at three vendors here and eight others so far today. My Venmo and tap-to-pay are in full on meltdown.

I do the tv sound on CarPlay. Set the phone inside a cubby in the dash.
