Art after dark. ๐
Soft shapes colliding was basically the running theme of this entire sequence, hahaha
12.02.2026 01:28 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Doesn't help that I then start procrastinating on it because the entire process involves fishing doodles out of 500 layer clip files, and then hitting copy-paste-save another 500 times LOL
If I wasn't so deep into it already I really should have figured out an export script for this.
Guuuuuhh
I really need to sit and finish the artpack. It's kinda dawning on me that 90% of the doodles I've been posting have actually been new art, meaning progress on offloading the junk has basically halted.
I wanted to release it in december, but then I lost steam due to...it being december...
I really want to draw more holes getting 'manipulated'. This one was prompted after a brief discussion regarding how one would hold a big donut. I think a silicone fidget toy was also involved at some point...
It's a good mental exercise to try and figure that out

I drew so much with my old intuos that I drilled a hole straight thru the top layer of plastic.
God, that thing has been stepped on and dropped, the pen fallen from all kinds of heights
11 years later and it's still alive and kicking.
The 'premium' pens just aren't built to take a hit like that...
This does frustrate me a lot, too. I really don't care about having 1000 accessories, just feels like a brand overcompensating for shoddy quality
Wacom's hardware feels excellent to handle, but the cons of using it have been stacking so much lately it just seems stupid to continue buying from them.
I'm at a point where I'm just hoping this fix gave me just enough time to make up my mind on whether I keep hunting down replacements from the ever shrinking pool or update to a new tablet
This experience has NOT made me favor the new gen cintiqs at all. I need to research other brands.
hahaha, yeah...
'just don't drop the pen' is like the first ever advice I got, and even if you treat it like a baby (pen no. 2), accidents still happen.
Still, minimizing it is still ideal. A softer flooring for once prolly goes a long way XD.
yes, 3 black magic sticks had me crawling up walls for months, how could you tell?!
05.02.2026 03:57 โ ๐ 10 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It's all anecdotal of course.
I cant help but feel like there is a connection between them discontinuing THE ONE pen that can take some punishment right around the time the Pro Pen 3, that is also a slim form factor yet 20-30 euro more expensive and questionable build quality, came out.
curious...
The Pro Pen slim, ironically enough for being a thinner pen, is also much sturdier, having some metal lining on the inside that also fixes the board in place.
Unlike my second pro pen 2, that I only ever dropped ONCE yet it still died, I've dropped the slim many times yet no skipping issues. lol
I think that is just the consequence of stuffing so much precise tech into a small space.
That is not to say, however, that Wacom havent been cheap mfs either. The regular Pro Pen 2's circuit board is basically floating inside the body, making it really vulnerable to fall damage.
There was actually a bit of debate on what would count as a loaf position for an anthro character with a colossal derriere.
This doodle was the best compromise I could think of. Though inaccurate, I think the tail being lifted was cuter ๐
Worse, I'm a man on a budget and with nothing to lose.
05.02.2026 03:30 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0and yes, no scientific method was applied in this shit. this is the grand sum of weeks of smashing rocks together until something happens!
If you're looking for such info chances are you don't have much to lose anyway, but still, I'm not responsible for anyone that fucks their pen up!!
This might be completely useless [and wrong! :)] info, but it worked out for me so I figured I'd put it out there just in case.
These are unfortunately not that rare of issues, and there is not much info on how to solve them other than 'buy a new one', an option that now no longer exists... cool.
Notes for [[[possibly]]] repairing pressure and line-skipping issues on the Wacom Pro Pen 2 and Pro Pen Slim [Apologies for the awful handwriting, I have absolutely no clue how I'd write a transcript for this thing ToT]
Since the alternative was ending up with 700 euro worth of paperweights anyway, I decided saw my Pro Pens open.
Learned a few things about how they work, and also that somehow gunk can build up inside the sensor, even a little being enough to completely fuck the pen up.
My convoluted notes:
Hell yeah, brotha.
the funny thing is that the sloppy kissing was supposed to be the focus of this part of the sequence
But their bodies are so damn huge that it wound up being a tiny area of the total canvas (still tried to shape the composition in a way that directs the eye towards the kiss tho๐ค )
Every reptile I draw is basically an excuse to get some thicc tail game going ๐
05.02.2026 00:00 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0yeah lol. it was very afterthough-y overall, but still wound up taking up a lil bit of extra time cuz I liked where it was going. Was kinda going for a 'gaming pc-jet engine' blend hahaha.
If I eventually get to draw this form again, I might sit down and flesh the hammer's design further.
Looking for a new morsel to chew on...
