❪ At last it was time, the hour of dawn arrived ever so slowly, bringing a shadow that creeps along each window and land, dividing corners of the earth into ying and yang, but what's this? ❫

You’re playing victim, and it’s pissing me off, so I guess we’re just gonna do this now. Cause none of my group did anything wrong, and I’m not gonna sit around while you drag any of us through the mud and tip toe all around it.

"Nope." Wisteria grinned, sitting across from him, "Nowhere near here. Or any multiverse you know. My world is practically unknown."

She hummed, checking the menu, "Though I go anywhere. I barely go home because it's so stuffy there... I prefer living out here, even if it's dangerous."

Wisteria gasped and took a step back, surprised for a moment since she's always thought that the king was always so composed...

What's the difference right now? What happened?

"I-I'll get you a towel." She muttered, turning to retreat and grab him something to wipe himself with after the meal.

'I said I don't want to run away anymore but...'

The crow thought, moving to Jiaying's side quietly and watching as they took their family away.

'I want to run towards them. I want to take them back immediately. I want to just to keep us all together.'

Oh, how terrible it is to be human.

And the three could only just follow the flow, sticking to a script that isn't theirs from the beginning.

Wisteria kept Malaya in place, feeling the young woman shaking. Hesitant.

Inrin's back was also turned to them and she watched her go, also hesitant.

She, herself, in all of this is hesitant.

"Yingzi—" Wisteria was about to step in. So was Malaya, who was going to call out to Denji but...

A shadow came over them, one she hasn't recognized in so long.

In fact, a deep guilt fell over her when she gazed up at the woman that towered over them, pulling back the vampire...

"Princess ■■■."

"I see..." Wisteria nodded and smiled, "I just wander. Where I come from, it's all different and in a different world altogether."

She followed Eddie off to the restaurant he was talking about, taking in a long whiff, "Woah... Syrup and butter... Some blueberries..."

"Lead the way then." Wisteria smiled, lightly bumping against him to nudge him ahead, "I'm right beside you. Like I said, I'll treat you!"

But in return, she hoped to know a lot more about him too on this fine breakfast date.

"So, Eddie, Venom, you guys local here or you guys vacationing?"

"...here." As if reading his thoughts, the crow reached over and held out a plate. It's morning after all, and other than coffee, she did make some plates of food too.

What's a meal without the actual food?

"I do apologize. It really isn't anything personal." She reassured, hands lightly shaking.

Wisteria stared in shock, getting off immediately as she gently took her hands, "B-Beloved, are you alright? You look terrible..."

She frowned, squeezing her hands, "...you need a break, dear. Right now. Please. I'll talk to your council for you, okay? Do you hear me?"

Wisteria hummed as she walked into @lunarinvitation.bsky.social's office before sitting right on her lap shamelessly, once again finding herself comfortable as hell on the empress' lap.

"Jiayinnngggg~" She cooed, taking Jiaying's hands and looking over with a grin, "...want to look for bugs again?"

She shrugged, handing over the bowl of stew before moving to hand the others of it, even grabbing Ran's hands and placing the bowl in her hands, "Sit and be good, please? If you do, you can have seconds."

She chuckled, grasping her own bowl before looking around to keep an eye out for any foes.

Wisteria sighed in exasperation and only continued to cook their food, glancing at Jiaying as she began to ready bowls of the stewed fruit.

"Jia— Ahem." Wisteria corrected herself as she approached the white-haired woman, "Empress, let's let the girl be. She'll likely tucker herself out anyways."

And Wisteria beamed at the sight, taking in all the scents and sights—

"Wow... Where do you suggest we go to for pancakes?" She asked, moving with Eddie across the crowd, which parted and stared in awe (and maybe a few seemed terrified).

"Breakfast?" Wisteria hummed, pulling out a wallet (that isn't her's) before checking the money in it, "Hmm, why not? We can get something for takeout together?"

She chuckled, smiling, "What do you two feel like having? Some pancakes would be great and coffee too. It can be my treat."

"Oh? How many bird women have you encountered before anyways?" Wisteria asked, chuckling as she raised a brow.

"I haven't really met any Eddies and Venoms in my life before so I'm glad I also decided to just explore the city. How do you feel about it so far, Venom?"
