Thankfully all of the bcachefs code was removed from the linux kernel. The only things that would probably be as bad (or worse) than a vibecoded filesystem would be drivers or the kernel to begin with

What was actually exposed was code used in Persona's software. Code showing that this company is doing A LOT MORE THAN CHECKING YOUR AGE.

21.02.2026 16:25 โ ๐ 35 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0noticing a weird double standard a lot of people have where something going wrong on windows is to be expected but a much milder and easier to solve thing going wrong on linux is proof that it's completely unreasonable for anyone to suggest that they use it as an alternative to windows

21.02.2026 14:53 โ ๐ 172 ๐ 39 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 3Proton (developed by Valve) is a fork of Wine, which is basically just a program that translates internal Windows OS system calls to Linux system calls, which makes most Steam games work on Linux. Lutris is a program that allows you to manage and install games (not just steam ones) more easily
21.02.2026 14:47 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I'm always fascinated by how in some games you'll get better performance on a linux distro than on windows DESPITE all the translation of syscalls happening in proton.

Amazon Web Services experienced a 13-hour interruption to one system used by its customers in mid-December after engineers allowed its Kiro AI coding tool to make certain changes, according to four people familiar with the matter. The people said the agentic tool, which can take autonomous actions on behalf of users, determined that the best course of action was to โdelete and recreate the environmentโ.

the world order effectively letting the palestinian genocide occur with no real objections has effectively dropped the formalities around pretending to care about genocide in the post-ww2 era and so the 21st century will be marked by more genocides & attempts to depoliticize them
