It's a bit trite/obvious to say but the result of all these imaginary evil things they pretended the government was doing was to make room for their side to actually do them. They're now among the things our government can do - fine to choose the side not doing it to you.

my book club read The Dad Rock that Made Me a Woman by Niko Strati’s this month and the chapter with The Mountain Goats is one of my favorite pieces of writing I’ve read (the entire book is, really, but that part especially).

I’m definitely going to keep attending- it’s so much easier to get myself to make art when i’ve got fun prompts and a time limit, and it’s so neat seeing how others interpret the prompts
