Father Mother Sister Brother cinema film.

We saw this yesterday at a film festival and I'm still slightly scratching my head as to what I think of it. It's v. good and worth seeing but needed a bit more pace imh. There are 3 unrelated films in it, we didn't realise Tom Waits is in one and he is excellent (never seen him act before).
7/10?

Saw a kids' football match on my run this morning. Boys and girls on each team (girls just as good as the boys), multi-racial. Families cheering, watching. Good to be reminded of harmonious, integrated humanity, our species' destiny, despite it all.

Such a wonderful album, and like nothing else in the Fall's canon.

It's a fine album and although I don't like mych of the production, Mark I would argue made songs like All I Need is Everything (that wonderful Spanish- esque guitar) and the title track (such successful ambition!) excellent.
An 8/10 for me.

I'm still sad they didn't tour this album, would have worked great live..
