My kid understands that when a place is "closed" it means we can't go there but doesn't understand that something being "open/closed" is independent of our plans.

So sometimes he'll say something like "Home closed, library open!"

One of the most Video Game things I did in my TTRPG was have an NPC the heroes helped previously show up with a bunch of Health and Mana potions right before the end

Could that be more than coincidence? Was June giving Darkspawn knowledge of crafting? Without Elger'nan will there be no more Alphas? Without Ghili'nain are Broodmothers a thing of the past? Did Darkspawn have more powers in the past? Is that why each Blight was shorter than the previous one?

@ghildirthalen.bsky.social so I've been wondering how much influence the different Evenuris had over the Blight. Like in Origins we see a Genlock Forgmaster but after Uthemriel (and we assume June) dies we don't see Darkspawn crafters anymore.

I perhaps should have anticipated that the hardest part of getting my kid to bed at a reasonable time is that he's too much fun to hang out with.

It is perfectly possible and widespread to recognize prejudice towards one minority and not others.

Fiction is always simpler than reality, and sometimes makes biases a lot more transparent.

Getting really invested in the worldbuilding of the media I consume and then watching children's shows is a special kind of hell.

My gaming buddies knows me, that they made a plan to play BG3 together literally after my morning pray (4am) and asked if I can play tonight lmao.

Dragon Age has brought me so much joy and comfort in my darkest times- i could (and might honestly) write so much about it.

That I cant reciprocate that feeling to the people that made it- i get so frustrated.
