Maybe it’d be well-advised to have external storage, like a large flash drive. Something taking up space you need? Just move it there. I swear by it.

Can vouch for Mint. I daily-drive it on my old laptop. I’ve heard Zorin is also a popular choice for those sick of Microslop’s bullshit.

I mean, I work in retail, so that one’s thankfully a given. but I doubt my manager would be able to help… will try though.

Linux is great, don’t get me wrong. I daily-drive Mint on my old laptop, and will switch to Bazzite on my gaming one. It runs old windows games better than windows itself, it has stuff like WINE and Winboat for win-only compatibility, and can revive old devices. But it’s still far from perfect.

As you’ve said in another reply thread, Linux has a lot going for and against it. It’s incredibly free, light, and secure. But there’s also the growing pains, current lack of support for Win-only apps, alternatives being kind of ass, Nvidia having problems on it, and distro paralysis.

BUT. I may look it up anyway and try to expedite it.
