Bc I'm also just talking about things like not doing a post mortem to figure out why an initiative failed or how we can do better. That stuff is ... disappearing.

People talking about the way we teach kids (and I agree!), but also it used to be that you could be rewarded in fields for being curious and being innovative, and maybe it's that the impetus to do that is gone.

absolutely!! i was thinking about that last year and how thankful I was to have access to a class that taught me to *think*

I don't just mean "Oh, be more interested in random things" -- I mean just the act of questioning, of thinking beyond a single task. Completely falling by the wayside. It's depressing!
