Got the urge to try weaving last week. It's fun! There's a few things I wish I'd done differently but I like the overall result, so I will definitely be revisiting this weird little minimalist penguin.

earlier this summer I started volunteering at a wildlife rehab facility. we wear ghillie suits with young impressionable birds or those that are getting too habituated. as you can imagine, this is pretty miserable in 100+ degree weather, but you do what you gotta do to keep these guys wild!

They're the same! afaik both names are still widely used but I'd referenced the IUCN bear specialist group's site for height/weight/range info (for text in the mini zine version of this) and they use Andean, so I did too.
