The HBO show Deadwood, lol. I've only seen the pilot, but IIRC it was basically HBO's second big original TV show after The Sopranos, and so was seemingly kinda marketed like it was The Sopranos in the Wild West. And the first episode REALLY feels like what you're describing, just every other word.

(I will say though, nothing will ever been more poorly timed than doing that "Ryan reads thirst tweets" video literally DAYS before the news broke. But then again, perhaps that video was the catalyst for those people to share their stories, like Vic Mignogna starring in a new Dragon Ball movie was)

Like, Ryan was a fan favorite part of that ensemble, and yet the moment that it came out he'd been using conventions to prey on young women, the company booted him overnight and seemingly everyone in the audience (many of whom were teenage boys) went "correct, thank you for taking swift action".

BG3 I can forgive because of how long + dense that game actually is. But god forbid you wanna install more than like 3 major AAA games at a time. Honestly, it feels to me like some of the big franchises like CoD intentionally leave stuff uncompressed so you don't have too many competitors installed.

It's REALLY price dependent for me, but yeah, the ability to play all the stuff I like on my Deck, properly upscaled to 4K? Sounds real nice. Hopefully the 2TB model isn't too big of a price jump though, 512GB just isn't enough these days.

What's the power level of that new Steam Machine? Are we looking at something similar to the PS5/XSX? I'd be interested in playing my Steam library in 4K on my TV...I have a Steam Deck I adapt to my TV sometimes but obviously that's limited to 720p.

I just don't know, man. Halo was at one point my favorite game franchise. But it's so off the rails now despite what I felt was such a promising start to the 343 era.

...making a sequel to a then decade old Halo RTS for the purpose of introducing a new enemy faction (that's just a rebranded Covenant again).

And then...that campaign was STILL lukewarm, and that combined with technical problems from the shiny new engine they spent all that time building, has...

And then, even though Halo 5 felt great to play, its story and campaign was so poorly received that they spent double the length of each previous Halo development cycles pivoting in an entirely different direction, releasing enough books to resolve 5's cliffhanger ending OFFSCREEN, and then...
