Utter disdain for women and their reproductive health led to this. Ex. tell women they have NO CONTROL over their bodies even in dangerous pregnancy; NO RIGHTS in the workplace for needed time off; NO HELP w/child care; NO SOCIAL SAFETY net + righteous community disrespect for moms who seek help.
