Sadly, Demi Moore was never going to win Best Actress because of the Academy’s bias against horror films. However, that does not take away from her incredible work in ‘The Substance’.

Lastly, they should immediately book Conan again for next year - he was a great host!

Happy for Sean Baker and the ‘Anora’ team on their big wins (Baker with four awards alone - the most ever received in one night by the same person). Also loved that ‘Flow’ won Best Animated Film, ‘The Brutalist’ won Best Cinematography and Score, and that ‘I’m Still Here’ won Best International Film

Best Oscars broadcast since before the pandemic. Looked like everyone was actually having a good time!

White ppl’s refusal to take responsibility for their actions & y’all’s need to coddle each other’s feelings from any negativity is maddening but I guess that’s easier than admitting your friends and loved ones are shitty people who were happy to watch marginalized groups (and you) suffer

Now Watching:

This matters. Not because I think Trump is capable of mercy or empathy towards these vulnerable groups. But because it is a public act of defiance.

Contrast that with all these other powerful people in this country signaling nothing but appeasement and obedience.
