Today I met with 7 North East Fife Hospitality businesses & UK Hospitality Scotland to discuss the challenges experienced by the sector.

We discussed operating costs, business rates, taxation, staffing, lack of banking services & economic impacts.

Many thanks to Rufflets for hosting the meeting.

It was great to meet with Fahim yesterday and discuss access to banking services, including business banking.

Today the Lib Dems put forward our motion to force the release of all papers on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's appointment as a UK trade envoy.

I raised the systemic failures at tackling global trafficking rings, and the vital importance of referencing the victims properly - they were children.

It was great to be at Scottish Liberal Democrat Conference over the weekend and meet with lots of fantastic organisations including @thebhf.bsky.social, @scottishautism.bsky.social and Scotland's Climate Coalition.

During a debate on government support for the healthcare system in Gaza, I raised the vital importance of trauma recovery services. The International Centre for Child Trauma Prevention and Recovery, who I met with, has pioneered a training model to get as many counsellors on the ground as possible.

Because of the upcoming major road closure in Newport, temporary timetables are being introduced for the 77, 77A and M77 services. These changes are to help keep a reliable service running and make sure people can still get to work and home as smoothly as possible.

Great to meet with The Ramblers Scotland at the Scottish Liberal Democrat Conference. They do brilliant work encouraging people to explore the outdoors, protect our paths and green spaces, and make walking accessible to everyone.

I’ve supported this letter to the Home Secretary highlighting the real impact of recent entry requirement changes on British dual nationals - from missed family events to people being stranded overseas. These problems are avoidable and must be fixed.

Great to meet with representatives from the Scottish arts community, including the fantastic the Trolleydarity team, yesterday to celebrate the National Theatre of Scotland’s 20th anniversary.

Great to attend a meeting with @headwayuk.bsky.social North East Fife and catch up with Graham yesterday. Headway does incredible work supporting people living with brain injuries and their families, and it was inspiring to hear more about the impact they’re making locally.

I was pleased to join Ed Davey and Liberal Democrat colleagues last week to hear from businesses across Scotland about priorities including energy, housing, skills, food and drink and fishing.

Great to attend the University of St Andrews Women in Politics meeting last night. Had lots of interesting discussions about what its like to be a female politician as well as my role as Chief Whip.

Great to learn more about their community projects like beach safaris and plans for ongoing expansion.

On Friday, I visited Bairns Hoose with @childrenfirst.bsky.social who provide incredible support for children and young people who have been victims and witnesses of abuse or violence.
