Once again, a single cartoon tells more truth that the entire US Congress.

Thanks to Rick McKee for making our current situation easy to understand.

“Labour must stop channelling Reform and unite with progressives. That’s the lesson from Gorton and Denton”

“Legitimate concerns” has become a euphemism for endorsing racism and a cynical attempt by governments to hide from their own responsibility and failure.
It is the slogan of cowards.
The excuse for bigots.
And it blocks our path to an honest national debate on immigration. Shame on all who use it.

Being Reform-lite worked really well this week. When will they realise they are failing on both counts. Losing decent voters to the Greens and compromising their progressive principles to appease the lazy-thinking and plain wrong.

But…but he was going to clear the tariff shelf by giving refunds to ordinary Americans anyway? At least this way, the US corporates suing will be able to reduce their prices and give their staff pay rises if they win? Let’s not be cynical here.

I’m not a journalist but if you remove the “not” from Mandelson’s claim you will have the reason why many never trusted him from the outset. Simples.

We’re not shocked by this. We are shocked that our media “industry” is so bound up with those with power and money that stuff like this is often worse that even the cynics think.

If you have a Royal Family, you have deference.

If you have a Royal Family, you have a class system.

If you have a RF, you essentially say, "These people are better than everyone else by dint of birth & should maintain enormous influence, wealth and power."

Why would anyone want that at all?

As we near the 10th anniversary of Brexit, with evidence the damage to our economy is even worse than predicted, time to remind ourselves of Brexit Battalions ‘Media Corps’ who pushed for and celebrated this. Good time to tag them in. Any apologies?

Ten years on from Brexit - our futures are as bound as ever. So, it is in our common interest to be ambitious about our partnership. Because the EU, the UK - in fact all of Europe - we are in this together. And we will always stick together. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission

The UK’s rightful place is at the heart of Europe. Let’s return.

Stephen Colbert responds to CBS disputing his claims that he was barred from airing the James Talarico interview:

"And for the lawyers to release this without even talking to me is really surprising. I don’t even know what to do with this crap. Hold on."

He then picks it up with a dog poop bag.

No arrests of the ICE thugs who murdered Alex Pretti, Renee Good, or Keith Porter. No arrests of anyone in the Epstein Files. But they arrested Don Lemon because of his journalism.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

FIVE YEARS & he has not been held accountable for one of the most disgraceful events in this nation's history.
Trying to overturn a fair election in an attempted coup against his own government is the very definition of TREASON. We can never move forward until this is fully adjudicated. #ShameOnUS🇺🇸

Reform-led councils are turning to tax rises, asset sales and service cuts to help balance their books”

Brexit has deepened the British economy's flaws and dulled its strengths. The Economist, 30 December.

Brexit has devastated the economy and the proof lies in the data: Brexit has reduced UK GDP by 6-8% and investment by 12-18%. We need to work with Europe to reverse the damage and save our economy.
