That can work! So long as all the other riders didn’t go with Waymo so they wouldn’t have to be subjected to unwanted convos. We’ll just have to toss a Meyers-Briggs quiz onto their profile system, LOL.

I specifically refer to the mandate for using God-awful government-procured software, but I suppose CAC ownership in any capacity is a little scary these days… πŸ˜•

How funny - chatting with Uber drivers is one of my favorite aspects of the experience! Maybe Waymo will be the great rideshare dividers between introverts and extroverts πŸ˜†

I have also unfortunately learned that asking ChatGPT to format/reformat citations based on said spreadsheet method is also a recipe for disaster. But the day they build an AI that can do that will be a day of great celebration!

I constantly have so many problems with reference software. I usually use a shared spreadsheet with my coauthors and we just paste them right in like it’s the 1900s or something! πŸ˜‰

That is SUCH a creepy movie. My friend told me we HAD to watch it one night at his apartment, and about 30 mins in, I turned around and realized he’d left me by myself to go play guitar in another room because it scared him 🀣🀣

I frequently come home to MSP on a late-night flight, and the whole terminal is more or less deserted at that hour. Very spooky. See also: Watching a late movie at the Mall of America that lets out well after mall closing, then navigating that hulk without another soul in sight.

US #scientist Dr Fred #Ramsdell was "living his best life" offline when the Nobel committee tried to contact him.

He told the BBC his first response when his wife said, "You've won the Nobel prize [for medicine]” was: "I did not."

Confirmed! I’m excited to be able to tour the sequels without the super bad ones killing my momentum, LOL.

I love that the iMacs are made in colors again. I got a yellow one recently. Its metal, so not as bright as the old plastic iMacs, but still super fun. Even the cables were yellow ☺️

The McNair Honors Scholar program was the reason I was able to navigate and afford the process of applying to graduate school. Ronald McNair’s legacy helped me become the first college graduate in my family AND the first to earn a Ph.D. He means a lot to me ❀️

The Compounding Crime of Other-ing Why do we get so furious with people who don’t look and act exactly like us?

Who knew a conversation about someone working at a burger joint would help me finally figure out how to write an article on in-groups/out-groups and how they escalate into polarization?

Chris, would you say that your working hypothesis could also be described as a state where predictive processing is shut down, and the mind is experiencing pure, unmodified sensory data input free of influence from established priors?
