This has always been one of my thoughts about the benefits of bike commuting and my personal brand of stoicism. Basically, you're microdosing discomfort, helping to inoculate yourself from the bigger challenges and discomforts you might face in other parts of life. Sweat a bit now, succeed later.

Like holy shit this explains the number of teenagers who think they can become youtube stars as a career. And also is it the kids googling what age they can be left home alone? Or the parents??

What does it imply if it’s the parents who google “leaving kid home alone” + “YouTube stars”?

Jack stumbled upon some Mark Rober show on Netflix which I immediately nixed for being too YouTube slop-y.

But then I googled who Mark Rober was. And the Google “suggested searches other people have asked” is…revealing (deragatory). 👀
