Delighted with the cover design for my new novel. The sweet little girl on the coverβ€”President Grover Cleveland's daughterβ€”faces trouble ahead at the summer white house in Cape Cod in 1895. Publication date: 3/31/26.

Panama is back in the news. Two years ago I wrote a historical thriller set in Panama during the time the U.S. controlled the Canal, for better or worse. Yes, our technology built the canal, but the full story was not always pretty.

Here in NYC, on an extended Thanksgiving trip, I’m delighted to see crowds of shoppers in bookstores, including the indie McNally Jackson. I had to shoo people aside to get a shot of one of many stuffed mystery/thriller bookshelves. Let’s all buy books!
