They are not just destroying Palestine. They are destroying the future and the past.

I remember early on the IDF took out all bakeries in Gaza, and soon after most hospitals. The goals were pretty clear way back then.

Yes, of course the IDF thoroughly meant to kill those journalists. If it was a complete one-off, then I suppose there might be room for some talk of mistakes, but the number of journalists killed in Palestine now runs to... 233 I think it was.

I wrote this before October 7. At the time, the idea that diplomatic recognition of Palestinian statehood would improve anything on the ground was laughable. Now, in the face of genocide, it’s dangerously negligent. We need sanctions and an arms embargo now, not recognition.

The only reason you assassinate every Al Jazeera journalist left in Gaza is because you don’t want anyone to document the genocide you are about to accelerate.

Any politician and any journalist who cannot call this genocide for what it is, is complicit, and I hope history remembers you as such.

Just 10 members of Congress have even dared to call Israel's mass murder in Gaza a genocide. Meanwhile, they're straight up murdering journalists. The gulf between what's happening and what most of our leaders will acknowledge is so remarkably vast.

External journalists aren’t allowed into Gaza and the entire @aljazeera.com team in Gaza has been murdered by Israel with the killing of Anas al-Sharif, Mohammed Qreiqeh, Ibrahim Zaher and Mohammed Noufal today

Every day they try to hide the truth of the genocide they are committing

10.08.2025 21:52 β€” πŸ‘ 331    πŸ” 183    πŸ’¬ 12    πŸ“Œ 6

Oh my God. Anas had one of the biggest platforms among journalists in Gaza. He was just killed in a targeted strike on the Al Jazeera tent. Comes after Israel targeted and murdered hundreds of other journalists.

This is intentional and purposeful to erase news coming out of Gaza. No doubt.

OpenAI will not disclose GPT-5’s energy use. It could be higher than past models Experts working to benchmark resource use of AI models say new version’s enhanced capabilities come at a steep cost

No secret that the reason companies like OpenAI intentionally hide their energy and environment metrics is because they look very, very, very, very bad and the company is more valuable if the damage they do is kept secret

The Howard Govt spied on Timor in 2004 during purported β€˜good faith’ negotiations. This is evidenced in formal Australian and Timorese Govt court docs. Everyone knows! But our Govt refuses to acknowledge this wrongdoing. I’m now challenging this foolish secrecy in the ART. #auspol

This was one of the last bridges between Jews and Arabs. Israel demolished it, too ***

On the morning of July 31, Israeli military forces, accompanied by bulldozers, arrived at the site of one of the two propagation units of the Palestinian National Seed Bank in the West Bank city of Hebron.

They then used bulldozers to demolish the structure.

I got a flu booster today and it made me reflect on the sense of national accomplishment I felt when I drove to a public facility, waited in my car until my number was called on an app, and got my first covid jab. This gave me chills. Because among the things that bother me about the universalization and over use of gAI has always been how it will strip/has stripped us of originality, resistance and will. And watching my students become so dependent on this is horrifying.

Plastics are a great example of uncosted externalities. The Lancet has put an estimate on the cost of that policy and economic gap - $1.5tn per year.

The US is representing the interests of fossil fuel companies, against the planet.

There is no longer any pretence that Israel supports a two-state solution Twenty years ago this month, Israeli soldiers were dragging recalcitrant Jewish settlers out of their homes in Gaza and demolishing the buildings. Now they are returning, with tanks and bulldozers.

Mixed emotions.

Should we be pleased that our ABC is finally reporting Israeli barbarity with some degree of accuracy?

Or should we be fucking furious that they lied to us for so long?

Also, remember back when the lifetime health cover was introduced only around half of health insurance had excess or co-payments. Now it is nearly 90%.

Private health insurance is a dud, the benefits the rich and by being GST-free diverts revenue away from the public health system

Most Israelis not bothered by reports of suffering and famine in Gaza, new poll shows Vast majority of Israelis said they were not troubled at all by reports, with a majority saying Israel's army was careful to avoid civilian suffering

Most people in Israel aren't concerned about famine in Gaza, they also believe the IDF's statements about minimal deaths

Observers also say the language of genocide by both the media and population is now completely normal and widespread in Israel.
