my one addition to the artist money discussion:

there are two reasons why i've been quiet on the art front over the last few years.

One is writing books for book market.

The other is being extremely burnt out, exhausted, and looking for work elsewhere.

Last year Ireland introduced a "Basic Income for Artists" trial scheme. It was massively oversubscribed, and is very successful. The amount of money the govt gives artists is only about $1500 a month. However the artists who have received it, have described the money as "life changing"
