My family Thanksgiving has been really smallest of my life - when I was really little we had it at my grandparents’ house but not when I got older. My church hosts a Thanksgiving dinner every year though and that’s a potluck.

Yep. In order to make my EBT card stretch as far as possible I mostly shop at Winco (which is at least employee-owned) and Walmart. I try to get most stuff at Winco but there are some things they don’t carry.

Walmart in particular keeps a huge chunk of their employees working just under 37 hours per week so they don’t qualify for full-time benefits. At least that was the case when @taliesin82.bsky.social worked there, and this was multiple Walmarts in more than one state.

I don’t remember having one. It feels like the kind of thing we would have had though. My grandparents definitely had a set. World Book I think.
