An album far ahead of its time. Grabbed me the first time I heard it. Songs are catchy, production innovative. People hated it because it wasn't THE CLASH, but that was the point. Unfortunately I also think it was all diminishing returns after this one.

Chris Brokaw is amazing.

Edgard Varèse was an incredibly inventive composer. Key works include "Hyperprism", "Déserts", and most importantly, "Ionisation." He looks like a mad professor and sort of was -- his father wanted him to be an engineer. He defined music as "organized sound", a description I use in my classes.

It is not just about the facts of the news, it is the presentation of the news. CNN is about 2 steps above a chumbox now, and the NYTimes has debased itself in both attitude (normalizing) and content (10 kicky shoes to help you survive global warming!)

The only people "invading" Los Angeles are Trump's goons.

The Trump regime's actions are illegitimate and an abuse of presidential power. It is un-American.

This is a "crisis" manufactured by the Trump administration, and their response to the crisis they manufactured is absurdly disproportionate.
