I think I’m fine with drawing just one strip a week. That way, I can focus on drawing other things in the meantime while improving my abilities.

I called my comic Hyacinth and Sal, which makes me feel sort of obligated to utilize them more.

But at the same time, I want to start doing more strips with the adult characters, like Jenny, Lena, Kiara, etc (but still under the H&S name, since it’s all in the same universe).

One thing I feel I’ve succeed with Hyacinth and Sal is having a large cast of characters. I started the strip with just two but always planned on growing the cast as time went on.

It helps make drawing the strip remain exciting because I don’t have to draw the same characters every time.

I can relate to this so much. I’d love to have a daily strip, but I’m currently only releasing one comic a week with occasional standalone drawings sprinkled throughout the week.
