The carpenter bees are my most abundant pollinators this year. I’ve made peace with them.

I had the most creative, inspiring and satisfying week teaching a surface decoration workshop at John C Campbell. Leaving that place makes me both sad it’s ver and excited to get back in the studio at home to explore the new ideas percolating

Fun! Thanks for the info. Oddly, no markings anywhere. It is a pretty clock, and I just love it even though it doesn’t work. It looks like someone has done minor repairs to it over the years. It sat, forgotten in the corner of a basement room at mom’s until I brought it home.

That’s a great idea. The thornless feature is a dream! In hindsight I should’ve planted her at the corner of my studio for the support of the building. But the is will be a great push for me to build an arch over the path for her to cover.

Thank you! I put her in the ground in the fall as a 12” trio of twigs and she’s already six foot tall and putting out tons of new canes. The trellis will have to be switched out for something more substantial, it seems!

Hi! They’re so beautiful and definitely soothing for whatever ails us. If a full garden isn’t your thing, you could grow a container gardening. Peonies can do quite well in pots and it’s much less work and time commitment.

Oh, that hurts my heart. I’m terribly sorry.
