Today, I have been writing a bible for my next show and then began repairing this wonderful mermaid puppet.

Over the last three days, I have been running Halloween puppet making workshops around Lincolnshire as Kazbah Theatre. It has been ace seeing kids engage with Baron Erdbeere and making their own puppet version has been really fun.

We can officially announce that Baron Erdbeere's Big Fang Theory will premiere at Normanby Hall's Spooktacular Event on Sunday 26th October. We will be performing the show three times during the day with show times still to be announced.

I have a new website up and running at andyevanspuppets.co.uk its still a work in progress at the moment but please do visit and see what you think.

Baron Erdbeere, a green puppet with fangs and black hair, dressed like Count Dracula, stood next to to three stacked Jack O'Lanterns in front of a stone wall with vegetation growing out of it. Behind him is a signpost saying Trick or Treat and at the edge of the photo is a crazy looking little haunted house.

Here is the Baron on set during the rehearsal yesterday, as I began work on "Baron Erdbeere's Big Fang Theory".

Today, I visited Franklin College in Grimsby to run a puppetry workshop for their performing arts students.

Today, myself and a team from Kazbah Theatre began filming for our entry in the Puppet Place 48 Hour puppet film challenge. This is our wonderful lead character.

Spent today working on a song for Halloween with my new puppet, Baron Erdbeere. This is the chorus. The full video will be released for Halloween.

Today's the day for my PhD viva. Wish me luck people.

I have been practicing making simple puppets from recycled and repurposed household items ready for a series of workshops I will be running in Sutton on Sea next month, in between preparing for my PhD viva this month. Here is the first of the puppets I will encourage kids to make.

I have my PhD viva on 22 July. If you are still following my journey, please send positive vibes on the day.

Yesterday, I submitted my thesis, the culmination of four years of academic study in the hope of earning the title, "Doctor Evans". Fingers crossed it will be well received and I pass the viva voce examination sometime around July/August.
