TREE Fund’s Fall 2025 Grant Application Cycle is now open.

Five grant programs are now accepting applications. The fall cycle application period runs from 8/1 to 10/1. Full descriptions of these grant programs and the application process are available at www.treefund.org/researchgrants.

On this date in 1992, 13 riders set off on a ride from Seattle, WA to Oakland, CA to raise money for tree research.

With the awards announced from the recent application cycle, Tree Research and Education Endowment Fund (TREE Fund) has surpassed the $6 million mark in funding tree research and education through its grant and scholarship programs.

June is National Safety Month.

In 2022, John Ball started a TREE Fund funded study, "Evaluation of Efficiencies Among Climbing Systems and Rope Diameters" which studied the relationship between tree-climbing tactics, oxygen consumption, and heart rate.
