I am just happy we arenβt in the same situation as last year. Imagine if they rammed Intro 606 through at the end of this year and had Adams sign it before he is gone.

11.11.2025 23:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As we read in the book where it says βHe goes shopping at the store.β.
11.11.2025 20:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It would go outside. Iβm not quoting anything.
And when it comes to ending a sentence on a quote I always put the period outside of the quote. Much to the dismay of my English teachers. If the period is in the quote, how can the sentence possibly be considered complete. Stubborn I know.
He asked, βBut why?β.
vs
Why must we use Shakespeare quotes like βOh Romeo!β?
Doesnβt this depend on if the question is within the quotes or if the question *includes* a quote? If Iβm quoting a question but not asking the question myself, ? goes inside. That just makes sense, itβs not a question *Iβm* asking.
11.11.2025 20:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0A few weeks ago I was on a train from Huntington that arrived at Jamaica 15 min late because the conductor took 1-3 min to open the doors at every single stop.
But the overwhelming majority of my trips are a good experience.
Was the online data wrong? It showed it arriving at Jamaica on time.

11.11.2025 16:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0*more room less tourists
11.11.2025 16:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ah. I like using the back staircase because I feel like there is more room. But I mostly transfer between main line trains so maybe Iβm missing something for ATL trains.
11.11.2025 16:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Omg I can follow this in real time. Make sure you are near the back of the train.
11.11.2025 16:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0They removed the manual switch??? It was there a year and a half ago!
09.11.2025 00:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Not so thrilled to be visiting Montreal during a transit strike impacting Metro and Bus service though.
08.11.2025 21:44 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So hyped for REM phase 2. Glad to see it is now in GTFS!
08.11.2025 21:43 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That block (really 2 blocks) is SO nice with the Christmas decorations on Moynihan.
08.11.2025 20:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0For some breathing space at those terminals you can also send 3 or 4 TPH to LIC/Hunters Point Av.

*If it doesnβt plateau near 2019 levels, and instead kept growing
07.11.2025 19:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If it doesnβt plateau we would very quickly NEED to start building more lines. But it will probably plateau.
MNR/LIRR are where we will be able to truly exceed 2019 by a significant amount. If/when the stations in the city get more frequent and fare integrated service, and are densified.
Queensway is short and awful because it would block rail service.
I know of LI Greenway, but it wonβt go through Nassau county for a while. And when they do, it will meander indirectly on neighborhood streets and next to major roads because the Vanderbilt ROW is mostly gone.
Itβs not the biggest issue, just a minor annoyance that will likely never go away. If I do get stuck behind peds it would still only be a short delay.
07.11.2025 13:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I was disappointed a few months ago when it became clear how small the width of the crossing would be. It should have been wider and had bike makings one one half. With how small it is, probably gonna be awkward biking in βpedestrian spaceβ when it is busy.
07.11.2025 13:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0How does London get away with 1PTO on many suburban rail lines? Do you think LIRR/MNR could ever go down to that? I feel like it makes sense to keep them to 2PTO, but I may be biased.
07.11.2025 04:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0TRANSITION CO-CHAIR LINA KHAN!?!?!??!
05.11.2025 16:38 β π 5544 π 829 π¬ 21 π 348I refuse to ride in the door zone. That is why I am only TRULY comfortable biking in the city with my 25 mph e-bike. I have always ridden ~15 mph in protected bike lanes as that is the speed that is comfortable in them. Outside of that I need to be able to keep up with traffic to avoid driver rage.
05.11.2025 22:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It is maddening that they even consider installing a new door zone bike lane in 2025. It is more safe for someone to ride in the car lane. Every single unprotected bike lane (with parked cars next to it) needs to be replaced with either a protected bike lane or a low traffic street (modal filter).

05.11.2025 12:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Sit near the middle of the cars. It is less bouncy and you almost never hear the wheel noise unless itβs the worst of the worst.
The end is always tempting but sitting in the middle is a much more pleasant ride.
