I've written representatives, protested, voted consistently, and this weekend is BS you have been giving us since Trump 1st managed to get elected POTUS.

Before you dismiss this as the writings of an ignorant young person who doesn't understand government, I'm 62, I'm a veteran. I work in both the arts and education fields. I have to know how government works, because my chosen career is the 1st affected by terrible government policies.

because you all receive universal healthcare - something every one (conservatives included) of your constituents deserves. Leaders like you are why we need younger politicians, why so many of us want a 3rd party to represent us - because leaders like you do NOT represent the will of us.

Last week's election results supported this - big wins for the left - the actual left, in a few cases. Now I have to wonder how much my insurance premium will rise, even as I schedule my annual physical to get the good health discount. It doesn't matter for you and your colleagues,

This is my "sternly worded letter" to you. You know what you did - or didn't do. You either encourage 5 Democrats and 1 Independent to vote with the GOP for the CR, or you didn't encourage them to stand strong. You are the democratic leader of the senate.

Once upon a time, people like Drumpf were pro-universal healthcare - not necessarily for altruism, but because it would eliminate the need for businesses to dealing in health insurance. Then Drumpf became the GOO nominee, then pres. so here we are, facing the truth: universal healthcare is best.

What he says sounds good, it just ain’t how things work in the US in the moment. Like, OK, I’ve got money that would go to an insurance company, but it wouldn’t cover a major dental expense (a friend is going through this right now) or if I were in a major car accident (me 20 years ago).
