this one is a pretty serious one as apparently the nurburgring started using an “Al-powered warning system” that didn’t even trigger the track lights well past the initial pileup. its an unfortunate ugly situation that now the S660’s first (i believe) nurburgring debut got inadvertently looped into

got hella excited seeing for the first time a honda s660 finally take on the nurburgring... next day checking back i find out it got written off in a major pileup 😞🫗🫡

haha yeah now that i think of it it’s prolly there out of “R&D” company-related purposes. i always assumed that cars on a private temporary import to US have to keep their country-of-origin plates in place and explain all about it everytime they get pulled over by suspecting cops, lol

haha it kinda shows how the buildings are on a slight incline, i gotta admit i had to kinda distort the perspective of my original shot to get both my car and the building’s level lines to have visual coherency🥴

the clutch & transmission still seems fine btw. there’s no more smell. that said i don’t doubt i shaved off quite a significant amount of mileage worth of material off the clutch’s lifespan🙃

tried to do a burnout today in akiba chuo-dori scramble. accidentally clutch dumped on 3rd. the clutch delay valve might’ve saved my entire transmission from grenading itself, as it completely slipped the entire time during redline.

i totally smelled it almost immediately after. whoops🥲🫠

my solution: i excised the catch can. then reinstalled the stock breather line directly back to intake. i figured the long lines to the catch can plus the brillo element, even when cleaned, was causing pressure buildup.

the S07A engine is port fuel injection anyway…

started noticing a oil burner smell lately on the S660. took off the engine cover and noticed oil hella weeping on the valve cover’s breather port. replaced PCV valve & cleaned out the brillo filter on the catch can installed on said breather line a few years prior, still exhibited a bad oil smell.

nowadays they're full wraps. but in the past they were either hand-painted or cut & pieced together from different vinyl colors. hand-painted stuff still happens at least, but full-wrap print is arguably both more cost-effective & convenient… esp. in case the owner eventually gets tired of his waifu

it is definitely a fun as heck car. i do consider it my most favorite i’ve ever driven (and i’ve driven quite a few cars already, like an R34 GTR lol). prolly not as fun though if you’re over 6’ even 🥲

the x-play ones are quite rare, yeah. i see more of the GR sport ones even. definitely the cero seems to be the most common, then robe… with GR sport and x-play coming much after

all & all, a pretty nice day for painful cars. better than the previous ones in odaiba simply from weather. maybe i’ll put the rest of my photos somewhere… also the parking lot did have a good number of “straggler” itasha that weren’t entered.

anyway that’s it. here’s unicorn, sunset, and smooshed.

… but definitely not as weird as this thing… which i’ve saved for last: an ita-tractor.
