Tonight was a very bad night.

Have fun! I played the ingénue in the play when I was a high school freshman.

I’m making stuffed acorn squash with a brown rice, celery, onion, and apple stuffing. I will top it with some goat cheese crumbles. It’s an easy meal for me to whip up, when she can’t have what we are.

I’m not a diagnosed celiac like our daughter—just gluten sensitive. That gives me a bit more freedom.

I’m so excited for dinner tonight—getting my favorite type of takeout: Indian food. There will be lamb biryani, pakora, tandoori chicken tikka, raita, and some papadum to munch on tomorrow.

A lot of the nicer things that we got or fancy food items such as shrimp or oysters at Christmas were because my dad’s very good friend through those years was in the mob. There were a lot of things like electronics that kept falling off the back of a truck.

God missed the one about the Boombox, too. I never would have done that, as that always seemed rude—and I didn’t get one until my middle school years when my dad got one as a gift for me, as this one had “fallen off the back of a truck.”

Oh, missed another one: I never had a Walkman either for same reason. My parents were working class, and we struggled to make ends meet.

Oh wow 🤩. This morning for the second loaf that she had baked, she made some lemon icing to drizzle over the top.

The zest of 2 lemons really gives it a lovely color.

3 slices of lemon poppyseed bread on a blue and white patterned plate. The bread is made from almond flour, lavender honey, lemon zest and juice, eggs, poppyseeds, salt, baking powder, and vanilla extract.

You should all be very jealous that my daughter baked us two loaves of lemon poppyseed bread. So delicious and amazingly gluten free.
