like even knowing you were indoctrinated & that’s not true.. everything you are goes directly against everything you were raised to believe. changing your beliefs as you grow doesn’t erase the core pillars of what was instilled in you. it’s hard to shake the shame completely, from that alone

lingering effects it has on a gay persons mind to be raised not only around normalized homophobia but to be TAUGHT and raised on the idea that queerness is an abomination and going against god. something you will eternally burn in hell for. that shit will plague your mind even after getting out

basically i promised my son a bluey room makeover as his combined birthday + christmas gift (bc his bday is late nov)

in summation-

i think they are just a really good family. they clearly heavily compensate the kids and their time online doesn’t seem forced at all. i’ve never noticed a bias towards the bio kids, everyone seems to be treated equitably. they genuinely just seem like a massive, loving family.

i feel like it’s usually well intentioned and the whole family genuinely seems like good people. there is one kid who is very clearly “flamboyant” and they seem to love and embrace that as well so like? idk i feel like their mormonism is a non-issue and people just hate mormons lmfao

yes, that’s a moral grey area.. but they are all very clearly compensated for their contributions to the channel and the kids seem very enthusiastic about being online. some of the older kids aren’t online much and it doesn’t seem that they are pushed to do so.

sure that’s extremely excessive, but they CLEARLY have the means to support that many kids. it also seems like the foster-adopted children do have the opportunity to continue relationships with their birth parents if they choose to do so.
