To fittingly follow up on the last TVS-ification of a CGI character, here's Series 4 - Millie the Estate Engine!

With simplified details & more accurate proportions, my aim was to strike a nice balance between her basis and CGI model's charm

The other week was one of the best weeks of my entire life, I finally got to see so many life-long friends in person and got to make so many wonderful memories with faces both old and new

Im not exaggerating when I say I’ve waited almost 20 years to own one of these again. Like one of my earliest memories is playing with this thing and then it just disappeared from the house one day and it’s at the back of my mind ever since.

After 4 long years of being homebound w/ severe medical issues unable to live my life, I'm so ecstatic to announce I'll be at the Strasburg Meetup this weekend!!

My fight is not over and won't be for a long while, but today is the biggest stride I've made against it to date

Atlas:
an 0-6-0 from the States acting as the "spare" on the railway, usually found doing odd jobs and maintenance duty when not filling in for unavailable engines

He does his work well but commonly overstates his importance to the railway, much to the annoyance of the others

Alfred:
An earnest and bubbly Baldwin 0-4-0 who is hard to dislike, he originally worked at mines in North America before coming to the railway

He feels more comfortable pulling goods than he does working with passengers, but is happy to give a good try to any work he's given

Jennings:
a Fletcher-Jennings 0-4-0 built to similar design of engines like Townsend Hook and Captain Baxter, one of the original handful of engines on the line but they've been renumbered since arrival

Unlike Gerry who's cocky but means well, Jennings is just a dick lol

Gerry:
a fictitious one-off prototype by A.B.S. & Co in attempt to make a new mass-producible model for market competition

the idea of many engines being built in his image gave him a high self esteem, but no one told Gerry they went back to the drawing board after his purchase

John:
a friendly but firm Bagnall saddle tank who worked at a small harbour before coming to the Mid Sodor

After arriving he fittingly became the primary engine for the Boat Train service, but will occasionally be seen taking goods when the workload demands it

Happy 80th anniversary to the RWS! To commemorate it and Awdry's continued legacy, I have a somewhat related reveal to make today..

GREAT RAILWAY CAPER THREAD

Let's start off with the main attraction of the special:

The Ulfstead Castle Railway Museum.

The main inspiration behind this besides that one place in York was Penrhyn Castle in Wales since it has a small railway museum there.

And yeah that's about all I can think of to mention about him, idk how to end this thread lol

a big thank you to @/Unhelpful_Git for the SKR engines and original base faces used to Frankenstein Luke together!

He was made a little bigger and a little longer to better fit in the style, while still making sure he stayed around the same size as Rusty so he remains one of the smallest of the SKR Fleet

Purple is built to the specs of the real Wren class and Green is after I "S4-ified' him

at first I was going to give him a half covered back instead of a mostly bare one, as otherwise it just kinda looks like a void

but then I realized that even if I do that the top half and sides would still look like a void so eh whatever it looks cool lol

I wanted the design to still be practical while giving off the illusion of being open, so I conjoined the firebox to the cab blackout that way any wires/electrical components can still theoretically be connected through without issue, and I think it does the job quite well!

The Wren's open cab with the firebox poking through the front just felt too iconic to get rid of but I knew it wouldnt work in the TVS style, and I didnt just want to give him a full cab like the CGI model did

so in the end I went with a mix of the 2 and gave him a half open one

Thank you for the birthday wishes everyone! As I'm turning 22 today I wanted to make a rather fitting reveal for the occasion. Unveiling my latest project, Series 4 - Luke the Quarry Engine!

This is a super simplistic Thomas the Tank Engine with a WiFi logo over the funnel to resemble smoke and the internet. For context, the caption at the bottom of the design is a play on words with Guaranteed Connection and Internet Connection. Guaranteed Connection means if a connecting train is delayed or canceled due to circumstances beyond the passenger's control, they will help you reach your destination or provide a refund. So, with that in mind, I combined Guaranteed Connection with trains for Internet Connection with WiFi.
