Green card holder from New Hampshire 'interrogated' at Logan Airport, detained Fabian Schmidt’s family said they are unsure of why he is being held. They said he has a recently renewed green card, and no active issues in court.

ICE stripped a German green card holder naked, drove him from Boston to Vermont to Rhode Island, put him in a cold shower, deprived him of medication, sleep and food until he collapsed.

No one knows why he was detained.

It's not just the nurses and other medical staff, although they're front line. All those in back offices with toxic managers or colleagues are working hard, looking forward to that retirement date just around the corner.

Am about to retire from one of the most toxic places I've worked. One staff member is playing the system. Machiavellian. Hates on folks for no reason. I have little sympathy for them. They supported a leadership that didn't approve of the jobless, called them and low-wage workers scroungers and worse, and whinged every time a poorer person complained about low wages/being out of work, telling them to get a job. Bet they're even claiming benefits.

Very true. I try to live as simple a life as I can and so I probably don't have as much hassle as you but I completely agree with you. It's tiresome, particularly remembering the excessive number of passwords.

This reminds me of renting a certain flat in the southwest some years ago. I gave 3 months rent to the landlord and 3 months later he asked me why I hadn't paid rent for 2 months when I already had. Odd how this only comes from very wealthy people who employ others, usually on low wages, whilst they enjoy reaping the benefits that often means. Certain MPs can also be fond of trotting this phrase out.

I suspect Musk et al are going to try to bypass this somehow. Perhaps by putting the cash into various accounts in order to hand it to Reform, or something similar. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him.
