As I employ a dedicated hardware encoder, the Uraycoder UHE265-1S-4K currently, a splitter is pretty much required, albeit with 1 input and multiple outputs, the console being the 1 input and then the TV and encoder are the 2 outputs.

Nice. Always good to get a HDMI switcher. Can never have too many.
