But...Fascists are paranoid, disinclined to share information, and tend to not be able to strategically plan ahead. Those traits are key to their personalities. We give them more credit than they deserve. Let's not. CC: @radiofreetom.bsky.social

I think he proved why falsely (and repeatedly) shouting fire in a crowded theater is both legal and a bad idea. Saying something inflammatory is legal, but when your words incite lawless action, they're illegal (and sometimes violently tragic, as happened yesterday).

The fact that right-wingers commit the vast bulk of domestic terrorism in the US is well-established by numerous expert investigations & reports.
But the right *accuses* the left more often, makes more *noise* about it, so they've bullied reporters into framing this as a "both sides" problem.

The First Amendment says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Just going to leave this here for those who need it:

Let's be clear about what The First Amendment is and is not, please.

It might just be a good idea for other journalists to stand up for Griffin, whose reporting is much better than anything else youβll see on that network

I think a valid question for the gov't at this point would be: "You can count, yes? As in 1 plane, 2 planes, 3 planes. Just checking."
Sometimes asking the obvious question is a good idea. We're just over here assuming these people are capable of counting to 3. Maybe they can't.

Killed at the exact time consumers are questioning whether to buy digital media from the 1 - 2 giant retailers that sell those kind of books.
Mass markets directly compete with eBooks. This decision helps a few retailers and hurts a lot of new potential readers.

Individual ICE agents must obey the law while doing their jobs. See something? Say something. The citizen can crimes agents commit.
These agents seemingly violated the U.S. Citizen's 4th Amendment rights (unlawful detention is illegal). Stolen money is a potential local law violation as well.

Delusions of grandeur - Wikipedia
Claims - like the ability to hide large, physical objects (planes), and having super powers over very heavy objects flying over bodies of water (planes, again) - are cause for health concerns. A psychologist would investigate such claims as delusions of grandeur.
