The older you get, the more you choose silence over arguments and distance over disrespect. Drama becomes intolerable to you, and your peace becomes your ultimate priority. You start surrounding yourself with people who are good for your mental health, heart, and soul.

Dance as shadows
As a light
In her dark eyes
Plays

And that's all she needs
To transcend
To the past
Where her future
Still waits
Though now
Impatiently

Her heart
Impassioned
Her soul
Sleepless
She grasps its hand
Taking the hard choice
To move on

A hand holding a star

I am going to
hold up a star
and maybe our
dreams can find
their way together
through the dark
to remember the
light that they are
when we speak first
in love and follow
through in peace
so the only thing that
we see is the reflection
of our own souls
shining the way life
made them to be

Time stood still, the air turned sweet where body, thought, and spirit meet. Flesh to flesh, then thought to thought in you, the truth I never sought…

My hands are light with loss..Where does hope begin.. Where does my soul turn….
