Nice altho consider doing the rotation in the shader rather than on the component. Save you a lil perf in the long run.

02.12.2025 16:01 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The visual bug is from the normals not following the WPO transforms, those functions aren't really appropriate here. If you use a rotate about axis method for the WPO, duplicate it plug in the same params, swap out world pos input for vert norm, then normalize output and transform to tangent space.
27.11.2025 17:54 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I wouldn't have thought this would still be an issue these days unless you're developing for the lower poly-bound platforms like mobile. I'm not saying everything can be a million Tris, but divided enough for minimal cage discrepancy issues.

10.08.2025 16:41 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Here's a vid of the Painterly Lighting in UE5, alot of shenanigans going on but basically its brushstrokes on a lighting ramp, so the textural falloff is always dynamic to the lighting and not like a static diffuse. #Stylized #IndieDev #GameDev #UE5 #HeartOfSwords #Shader #NPR #ScreenshotSaturday

28.07.2025 19:57 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Time to start dumping art here, GIFs ahoy. So of course I made my own stylized renderer in Unreal. This is dynamic lighting based not static diffuse. #Stylized #IndieDev #GameDev #UE5 #HeartOfSwords #Shader #NPR #ScreenshotSaturday
28.07.2025 19:56 — 👍 26 🔁 3 💬 3 📌 0Oh btw I solved the home server version control issues, my whole problem was just using perforce lol, it's port handling was an outdated nightmare. SVN's port handling just worked first time. So we have peeps submitting to my server depot finally. #indie #gamedev #indiegame #synology #svn #tailscale
24.05.2025 14:57 — 👍 7 🔁 3 💬 0 📌 0I feel like I've wasted so much time trying to finalize VPN access to perforce, I can't get the Synology docker to listen for TCP 0.0.0.0:1666. The container, p4d.conf, execute w command says it, but nope. Using Tailscale. I just want to make stuff.. #gamedev #indiedev #synology #perforce #tailscale

28.04.2025 12:29 — 👍 10 🔁 3 💬 0 📌 0You know what's harder than designing a game... Deciding on a Studio name. It's like when you spend over an hour in a character creator but you made the character in the first 20minutes...

04.04.2025 16:39 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Well last day at #SumoDigital after 8yrs... It's been fun, with a fantastic bunch of peeps that I'll miss, but it's time to make a game for myself for once, so taking VR feels like progress, like moving forwards onto the next challenge!
