It just felt like if I did that, I’d see him again just as what was a recent normal. Dad would just be there. He’d say hi, and we’d chat or just hang out.

I had to pull myself back from doing that. He’s not there now. 2/2

I just had the weirdest urge. I was about to pick up my car keys and just drive to the hospital. To do again what was a normal daily routine.
I could picture in my head all the hallways I got so familiar with. Walking through that maze, and then at the end I’d see him again. 1/2

I’m scared. I’m tired. 
Things have been so chaotic, and I’ve been so busy. As much as I want this chaos to end, it scares me to have free time. In those brief moments where I can breathe and think, it hits me just how challenging things are and how much I’ve lost.. 1/

Today I said my final goodbye to my mother. She died on the 19th at the age of 55, far too young.
The past couple of weeks have been a strong reminder of just how fragile life can be. Hug those close to you, tell them you love them and be there for them. 💔
