Christmas films or films at Christmas? You could add Dr Zhivago and El Cid, even A Hard Day's Night.

I guess what we're deciding is what constitutes a Christmas film. I'd suggest a good test is would it look out of place at other times of year, although multi channels have blurred even that line.

The last sentence is the most accurate of all, given the track record of this government.

e.g. Eyes Wife Shut, About A Boy, Clueless, Trading Places, The Railway Children, Carole, The Godfather, Green Book, Oppenheimer, Catch Me If You Can, Cast Away, Die Hard fucking 2 et al.

I reject the notion it's a Christmas film for two reasons, it doesn't have traditional Christmas themes (reconciliation is a stretch) and just because it takes place at Christmas doesn't make it a Christmas film per se any more than other films set or partially set at that time of year ...

The current administration's most effective results were Plaid Cymru policies enacted by the Labour / Plaid Cymru cooperation agreement, e.g. on housing and childcare and free school meals. I'd expect a lot more of the same.

Support for more devolution is even higher than for indy. It's been growing steadily since the 1997 referendum.

Labour will likely lose the next Senedd election. This will be the first Labour election loss in Wales in the age of universal suffrage and can only encourage the idea of self governance.

Furthermore, among younger age groups it's higher still. It's only the age group 65+ which is convincingly in favour of the union these days.

And recently, the number of those against has started to dip under 50% for the first time.

It's pretty clear that the UK trend is towards more devolution.

Support for independence was in single figures just 10 years ago. It's now polling regularly in the 30s and over 40% with don't knows removed. In short, higher than Scotland was before the 2014 referendum campaign started, a campaign which increased independence support by ten or so points ...
