04.10.2025 21:55 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0To everyone in Britain's Jewish Community: you are not alone. We will not let hate or those who spread it win. We stand with you.
On Yom Kippur many Jewish people in Britain have their phones off to mark the holy day.
As it ends at 723pm, some will hear the tragic Manchester news for the first time.
At that time, please join many of us to send a message of solidarity to British Jews. Thanks Together coalition for proposing.

30.09.2025 16:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So this speech (Trump) is basically rolling the pitch for deploying the military against its own citizens within the US, under the guise of combating domestic terrorism. What have we come to.

30.09.2025 14:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The contrast between Hegseth and Trump today is striking. Hegseth is explicitly fascist: he wants to restore the golden past of the military by purging weak and unmanly elements. Trump is rambling about how great Trump is. This is MAGA in a nutshell: an egomaniacal fool surrounded by fascists.
30.09.2025 13:59 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0It is beyond shocking, from this side of the pond

22.09.2025 13:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Did you know that Dundee once tried to take over Tayport. It was part of a scheme known as Greater Dundee, where the Corporation wanted to have power of both sides of the Tay. As you may have guessed it failed. Read the full story here:

The old gymnasium at Great Comp. This was used as the cricket and hockey pavilion.
A wonderful womenβs cricket history pilgrimage today to Great Comp in Kent. This is where Frances Heron-Maxwell and Vera Cox(2 of the founders of the Womenβs Cricket Association) lived for decades, and where many early WCA matches were played.

Lovely to meet Frances Thompson, a direct descendant of Vera Cox, who gave a fascinating talk about Great Comp based around Veraβs letters.
Including the stresses of having to arrange the 1937 Australian tour of England (Vera was the main organiser) & have the ENTIRE Aussie team stay at the house!

03.09.2025 10:18 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0βNigel Farage has flown across the Atlantic to call for economic sanctions against Britain. Nothing could be less patriotic than actively encouraging a foreign power to take action to make the British people poorer. Itβs deeply irresponsible β because itβs not Farage whoβd be left paying the price, itβs working people across the country. He can never claim to be a patriot again. βWhile Farageβs βTalk Britain Downβ tour continues, this Labour Government is delivering the second phase of our Plan for Change, making sure we get more money back into working peopleβs pockets as quickly as possible and bring about the national renewal Britain needs.β
A Labour Party spokesperson, responding to reports Nigel Farage is set to call on the US to inflict economic penalties on the UK, said:

03.09.2025 08:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Actually, more than that, its an admirable plan. Its so easy to get downcast with gardening - we have ghastly amounts of aphids on the runner beans this year - but the best thing to do is just shrug and make the best of it.
