Political prisoner Saba Skhvitaridze, who is being held in solitary confinement, says he was punished for saying “hello” to another prisoner during his allotted walking time. He has not yet been informed what the punishment entails, whether restrictions on phone calls or other measures.

Political prisoners serving their sentences at Gldani Prison have had their phone calls restricted to once every 10 days.

Georgian Dream is now considering criminalizing the non-recognition of the so-called government, which means this very sentence could soon land me in jail.

I’ve honestly lost count of how many laws now officially classify me as a criminal in Georgia.

At the same time, it also approved the decision to merge two major state universities in a heavy-handed manner that disregards university autonomy, a move that has raised serious concerns across society, including among some of its own supporters. 2/2

The GD-controlled Parliament has passed a new repressive law on grants in its first reading, criminalizing foreign funding and foreign connections or networking. 1/2

Georgian Dream has announced new amendments to the Russian-style laws on foreign grants and so-called “foreign agents.” What they’ve presented goes beyond legal absurdity, so I’m trying to fully understand it before reporting in detail. But it doesn’t look good at all.

The founder and editor of Batumelebi and Netgazeti, and a Sakharov Prize laureate, Mzia Amaglobeli has been behind bars for exactly one year.

Gharibashvili served two terms as prime minister and held top government positions for 8 out of the 13 years GD has been in power. What exactly led to his fallout with Ivanishvili remains unclear, with only rumors circulating so far. 2/2

Political leader Zurab Japaridze is spending his first evening out of prison on Rustaveli Avenue. Protesters at #GeorgiaProtests greeted him with cheers. He spent seven months in unjust detention.

All these people on Rustaveli Avenue are risking arrest tonight for up to 15 days, as protesting on sidewalks is now prohibited and they received official notice yesterday. #GeorgiaProtests Day 385.

Day 381 of non-stop, uninterrupted #GeorgiaProtests. Under the new law, organizers must notify the authorities five days in advance, otherwise protesters face up to 14 days of detention.

No one notified the regime, though.

Kirtskhalia, like the rest of GD, is furious over BBC Eye’s new investigation indicating that they used a chemical agent against #GeorgiaProtests. 2/2

“Mind your own country and mind your own people,” said Irakli Kirtskhalia, a member of the GD led Parliament, addressing the UK government, which he called a “non formal, oligarchic government.” 1/2

“The regime must resign!” — the banner was hung from a bridge in Tbilisi today. A major rally is planned later under the slogan “the regime is poisoning us,” after BBC Eye’s new investigation indicated that GD used a chemical agent to disperse #GeorgiaProtests.

In a new BBC film released today, Girchi - More Freedom member Gela Khasaia says he knows he could become yet another political prisoner at any moment.

The tragic irony is that Khasaia is, in fact, a political prisoner today.

Although Elisashvili admits the charge, many now suspect a setup and believe he may have been forced into the admission. He was beaten. His coalition has distanced itself from the alleged act. 2/2

Prosecutor General’s Office has upgraded the charge against Lelo Coalition member Aleko Elisashvili from property damage to terrorism. The MIA claims that on the night of Nov 29, Elisashvili broke into the Tbilisi City Court chancellery and attempted to set the building on fire. 1/2
