Especially to the nurses so way more violence & aggression than I had seen previously (as someone with chronic health). Plus a lot more disrespect for patients & staff - including from corrections officers. No longer a career path I'd want for the next gen. They need help, support & funds #nzpol

Antibiotics by then as I was obviously sick by those levels, the rigors (didn't know teeth chatted so much), & fever. Bed shortages, & staffing limitations evident over the week. The staff were amazing, working to the bone. What I did note when I started being more with it was the violence 2/3

Spent a decent chunk of last week with what turned out to be a kidney infection. CRP levels at 298 :( spent 9 or more hours in A&E diagnosing as rigors had hit in mid ultrasound so needed CT too, was it an ovary? Appendix? Once they could see through the scars it was kidney. I'd already had IV 1/3

Finland has a similar population, similar landmass, similar situation with population density (majority of population in one part of the country) to us and yet it has an amazing interconnected public transport system and we dont.

About 10 years ago, at least in NZ, there was a genuine chance for queer rights to cease being a left/right faultline. Key voting for same-sex marriage, a few out National MPs etc.

The policy choices of the right the last 5/6 years have meant that the faultline v much remains. And that's on them.

I see no problems there. I have one of my teens favs as Linkin Park, and there is a decent amount of Bush, and Nirvana in there at times.
